Wieliczka Salt Mines

Our last day in Poland was spent touring the Salt Mines in Wieliczka. The mine reaches a depth of more than 1000 feet! More than 1 million people visit the salt mines annually.

The mine was built in the 13th century and successfully mined table salt until 2007.

There was a huge chapel in the mine called St. Kinga's Chapel.

There were statues around the chapel and carvings. The chandeliers were even made of salt!

Inhaling the special climate and mineral rich air is said to be really good for your health.
