The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

Jewish people were brought from all over Europe.

There was a room full of thousands of shoes, taken from prisoners before they were sent to the gas chambers. The amount of shoes counted for only 4 days of murders.

Absolutely horrible experiments were performed on innocent prisoners.
Since records were destroyed by the Nazis, the death count isn't exact, but it is certain that between 2.5 and 4 million people were killed or died at Auschwitz.

The plaque reads "The washroom where women stripped before execution. Then they were led in twos to the yard and shot at the "death wall".

An incredible movie about this event can be seen in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. I first saw this movie a few years and I still cannot get it out of my mind. It is incredibly good and I recommend that you watch it.

  1. Wow that looks like a good movie...all of these pictures are so sad yet so captivating. Its crazy to think people do this and at the time, think it is "right".
