Days 106 - 122

Day 106 -- May 16, 2012
This blog is my baby.
I started it four months ago and have recorded all of my travels and experiences for you all to read.

Day 107 -- May 17, 2012
Besides writing for my blog, I also love to read! I'm such a bookworm. Here are some of the books I've read since I've been here.

Day 108 -- May 18, 2012
The last couple of weeks here have been pretty low-key. All Rose and I have been doing  is studying for our final exams and packing up. I've been doing some writing in this beautiful moleskin notebook that my mom bought me for Christmas.
The front of the notebook says a motto I try to live by, "Be happy, be wise. Live for the present. And most of all... make every moment count.

Day 109 -- May 19, 2012
Do you see how disgusting this is?! This is what Rose and I have to put up with... flatmates who don't clean up after themselves. I have never been more disgusted with how some people live.

Day 110 -- May 20, 2012
This is the street across from campus. All around Dublin people park their cars in front of their houses. They don't have front lawns... just extended driveways!

Day 111 -- May 21, 2012
This is the flag of Ireland perched on the entrance to Trinity College in Dublin.
Green represents the Gaelic tradition of Ireland, as well as the Catholic religion; orange represents the followers of William of Orange, as well as the Protestant religion; white represents the hope for peace between them.

Day 112 -- May 22, 2012
Rose went home today! It was a very sad day. I will miss her a lot.

Day 113 -- May 23, 2012
I use my Leap Card to get around on the city buses!

Day 114 -- May 24, 2012
Today I took the train to Galway! I love train rides.
It took about two and a half hours to get to Galway and I came prepared with a book to read, a journal to write in and music to listen to.

Day 115 -- May 25, 2012
Today I went on a tour to Kylemore Abbey. It is in the middle of Connemara on the west coast of Ireland.

Day 116 -- May 26, 2012
I went through Connemara when I was in County Galway, which is a huge, lush, beautiful area on the west coast of Ireland.

Day 117 -- May 27, 2012
I took another train to Cork and then a short bus ride to the Blarney Castle! Here I am looking out from one of the castle's open windows to the grounds.

Day 118 -- May 28, 2012
Cork reminded me of a cross between Dublin and Kilkenny. It had a wide river cutting the city in half - the River Lee - just like the Liffey in Dublin, but it also had the old, rustic charm of small-town Kilkenny.

Day 119 -- May 29, 2012
This was the last real meal I ate in Dublin. Yamamori Sushi on the Liffey.

Day 120 -- May 30, 2012
I wish I could have gone to the Writer's Museum, but I ran out of time.
Dublin is home to many famous writers and poets, such as Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, James Joyce, William Butler Yeats, George Bernard Shaw and Samuel Beckett.

Day 121 -- May 31, 2012
My room: before and after.

Day 122 -- June 1, 2012
I flew back to the states today! The flight was 7 hours and 20 minutes.
My mom picked me up and drew me a cute sign.
